We are in the middle of a life-changing, world-altering pandemic that has everyone taking precautions and searching for answers. We may or may not have had the virus, but we are all sick. We have experienced physical and emotional pain in our lives, a kind of sickness that makes us long for healing and happiness. The pain is like a virus looking for ways to spread. If we do not proactively search for a cure, it will infiltrate other vulnerable areas of our lives, and we will fall to our knees under the weight of the pain.
Did you know there is a cure?
Jesus said, “It is not the healthy that need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” (Mark 2:17) With these words Jesus is saying that the reason he came from heaven to earth, was to bring healing to our hurting and broken lives. He is the cure! If you have been brought to your knees and feel that the pain is too much to bear, look up and ask your heavenly Father for help. He is able to bring healing and restore joy to your life!
Dear God in heaven, there are so many things out of my control right now. I know I can keep trying to fix things on my own, but I feel tired and can’t do it alone. I need someone greater, stronger, wiser to be my doctor and bring healing. I need someone I can trust who won’t let me down. Please come to my rescue. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Mark 2:17 - It is not the healthy that need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Hebrews 4:16 - Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Psalm 34:18 - The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
